O American College of Cardiology divulgou a lista dos grandes trials que serão apresentados nesse congresso. Serão ao todo 18 grandes estudos cujos resultados serão apresentados nas sessões Late-Breaking Clinical Trials, sempre muito disputadas. Destaque para o trial brasileiro BRIDGE-ACS, que será apresentado pelo Dr. Otávio Berwanger, diretor do Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa do Hospital do Coração de São Paulo (Hcor). Esta é mais uma demonstração da força da cardiologia nacional, que, nos últimos anos, tem marcado presença com destaque nos últimos congressos internacionais.
